Cuervo Gold Crown bonus eludes May-Treanor, Walsh once again
HUNTINGTON BEACH — For the second straight year, Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh walked away from the Assn. of Volleyball Professionals’ Cuervo Gold Crown series final empty-handed.

TWO LOCALS ADVANCE HUNTINGTON BEACH — A pair of players with local ties advanced through four rounds of qualifying Thursday to make their respective men’s and women’s main draw, which begins today at the Assn. of Volleyball Professionals Huntington Beach Open.

Ex-Tar, partner on track
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Newport Harbor High product Misty May-Treanor, who along with partner Kerri Walsh form the top-seeded women’s team, advanced to the semifinals set for today at the Assn. of Volleyball Professionals beach volleyball tournament that began Saturday.
